Overview

Working with SM Entertainment, I introduced posthuman concepts by redefining traditional notions of humanagency within the entertainment industry. In response to the non-face-to-face trend accelerated by COVID-19,I created a virtual idol group where human and non-human entities seamlessly coexist. Informed by the uncannyvalley theory, the sophisticated design of each character aimed to dispel fears associated with digital humans,establishing them as the first and most popular multispecies idols.
